“I have had failures and I have had successes in my life. I made bad choices and I made better choices. Just as I thought “I was getting there”, the figurative carpet was being pulled from underneath me and I had to get up and start all over – at the age of 30. At the age of 40, I pulled the rug from underneath myself and resigned from my job as Corporate Manager at a leading hearing aid manufacturing company. I had a vision though, and I wanted to align myself with my passion of having an impact on many people, growing their businesses and empowering them as individuals.
My vision is to empower the entrepreneur and her/his business through the process of mentoring and coaching with a strong emphasis on purpose and goals. I want business owners and entrepreneurs to realise that they can do anything they want to as long as they have a strong enough “WHY”.
Experience
The past 21 years in the Healthcare Industry has given me a diverse background and experience of this industry. I hold a degree in Communication Pathology at the University of Pretoria (1995). At the age of 21 I started my first a private practice owner spending my time doing speech therapy and audiology. After correcting a lot of lisps, auditory therapy and fitting a good couple of hearing aids, I moved on to practice management and later became a Corporate Manager at a leading hearing aid manufacturing company in South Africa. Being in a management position for 9 years has given me a broad understanding of this particular industry and also business in general. I have also completed my MBA (GIBS) in 2009/10, and also completed a coaching course through Results Coaching (ICF accredited) in 2012.
I have experience in the following areas: Managing Sales and Marketing Departments within the international corporate sphere with developing strategies with a global perspective applying to multiple stakeholders.
Business mentorship in establishing and growing business partnerships with Health Care Professionals and private practice owners in the Healthcare Industry.
Coaching and mentoring teams and individuals in developing and aligning talent within the organisation. My style of coaching enables effective engagement with employees to help them feel valued and to ensure that their maximum potential is reached.
